South Students Help Stop Hunger Now

South High Student Council took part in Fun Fest's Stop Hunger Now event. Their dedication to community is evident in their smiles.

 Thank You, Lowe's of Kingsport!
Weaver Elementary School was the fortunate recipient of a Lowe's Heroes Community Service effort this summer. Employees from the Kingsport Lowe's store spent three long days doing improvement projects and sprucing up the grounds for the upcoming school year. Some of the work completed includes painting in the school gym and hallway, mulching the playground, landscaping, mulching and planting flowers around trees, school sign and flagpole, pressure washing the modular classrooms as well as the awning covering the walkway, tearing out and rebuilding the ramps leading into the main door of the modular units, and clearing brush and undergrowth beneath the row of pine trees behind the school. Besides donating their time and labor, Lowe's also donated all the materials used in all the above projects. The employees of Lowe's of Kingsport displayed an incredible sense of community and a desire to complete a good job. The Weaver staff and students as well as the entire Weaver community are most appreciative of the efforts provided by Lowe's.

 Sullivan North Beautification
The faculty of North High were hard at work making the North campus welcoming to the students in the coming year.  Landscaping and painting were just a few of the projects the faculty tackled to create a better environment for our students.
