Sullivan South Graduates the First Certified Nursing Assistant Class in Sullivan County Schools |
Sullivan South High School is proud to have graduated the first Certified Nursing Assistant Class in Sullivan County School system. The CNA class was started this school year and had 14 students enrolled. The students were selected based on their school performance, GPA, and attendance. The students were required to successfully complete 60 hours classroom / skills lab. along with 40 hours in the clinical setting. The students were required to master the skills required to be certified as a CNA by delivering patient care in the clinical setting provided by Asbury Place at Allandale. After completion of the course students take the Certified Nursing Assistant state of Tennessee exam, once the comprehension and skills assessment exam is passed, the students then become certified as a CNA with many opportunities for employment in our region. Were are very proud of our CNA class here at Sullivan South High School and the success they had with their state exam. We look forward to another successful CNA class next school year.
