National School Lunch Week

Colonial Heights Middle School celebrates National School Lunch Week by having their volleyball coach Adam Slaughter to "Get in the Game" by helping "serve" up a healthy school lunch to the students during their lunch.

| Sullivan North Middle School Students are E.P.I.C. |
At the end of each nine week period, North Middle School holds a celebration to recognize student accomplishments, including good behavior, grades, and attendance. At this event, selected students are awarded medals for exemplifying E.P.I.C. character traits. Congratulations to the Rebel Band for their placements this last Saturday at the 30th anniversary of the Appalachian Classic Marching Band Festival held at Sullivan Central High School! The band placed 1st in Guard, Percussion, Music and General Effect. They also placed 1st in Class 5A and was the overall top band of the day! The band travels to Science Hill HS this Saturday to compete in the 2nd annual Hilltopper Invitational. They perform last at 9pm. Please feel free to come out and support your band. GO REBEL BAND!!!

| Sullivan South Band Director Honored |
The Sullivan South Band Director, Mr. Carrico, was honored on the Tuesday before Fall Break as the Teacher of the Month, sponsored by WTFM and Milligan College. A representative from WTFM arrived during school on Tuesday and presented Mr. Carrico with a plaque and various gifts for this award. Over 100 parents and students voted on WTFM's website so that Mr. Carrico would be selected for this award. Mr. Carrico feels very honored and privileged to be working at South with such great students, parents and faculty. Congratulations to Mr. Carrico.
