TVA Projects

The Tennessee Valley Authority conducted a project with Sullivan County Schools 5th graders this spring. Students were to develop a project about any aspect of the TVA they wanted to research. Students from eight elementary schools presented projects at their schools and the best were sent for judging by TVA personnel this week. The students with the district level winning projects selected on Wednesday will have the opportunity to visit Boone Dam on May 13th as guests of the Tennessee Valley Authority. Students will tour the dam in areas the public is not allowed as well as learn about the safety, history, and management of the dam system.

Students included papers, powerpoint presentations, models, videos, prezis, and display boards as parts of their projects. Pictured are the model and display board parts of the presentations.
