STEM News
This Friday, 2/21, students participating in the Second Harvest Foodbank Backpack program received something a little extra with their food items. The Sullivan County Schools STEM program with the assistance of The Northeast TN STEM Innovation Hub provided a magnifying glass with each child's package. Included with the magnifiers were some fingerprints to identify and jokes written in tiny print. Research shows that students involved in STEM activities at a young age are much more likely to pursue jobs with this type of focus. As we progress into the 21st century, STEM jobs include all the growth fields. This gift is intended to inspire students to investigate the world around them.
