School Board Meeting Update 10-7-13
The following Consent Agenda Items were approved at tonight's board meeting:
- Meeting minutes from September 9, 2013 and October 2, 2013 meetings
- School Trip Requests
- Request for Disposal of Special Ed Equipment.
Director's Report
Dr. Yennie and the Board recognized the 2013 Sullivan South Rebels Golf Team.
The Boys Team were recognized as District Champions, Region Champions and TSSAA State Runner-Up. Their record was 42-1-1. Team members include: Wes Cox, Drake Crawford, Ross Miller, Cayman Ratliff, Tanner Hall, Thomas Harrison and Seth Crawford.
The Girls Team were recognized as District Champions, Region Champions and TSSAA State Champions. Their record was 33-2. Team members include: Alllyson Dunn, Taylor White and Kaitlyn Grills.

Board Chairman Report
Mr. Wells reported that all previous scenarios of school closings and consolidations have been suspended. The Board approved the search for a consultant to undertake a study to look at enrollment history and trends, facilities and other system needs. This consultant will bring forth plans and details for Board consideration.
The following items were approved at tonight's Board Meeting:
- Beacon Analytics
- Insurance MOU
- EESI/ESG Final Project Acceptance Letter
- Recommendations for Teacher Tenure
- Agreement with First Christian Church of Bluff City
- Budget Transfer - Fund 148
- Retiree Medicare Supplement - to establish a record of the past practice of providing retiree Medicare supplement insurance beyond age 65.
- Federal Consolidated Application Revision
