Sullivan County Community Concert for Caring

Sullivan Central Choral Music Students Participate in All-East Choral Honors Choir

Five students from Sullivan Central choral music department participated in the All-East Choral Honors Choir in Maryville from November 15-17.  These students competed with many hundreds of students all over east Tennessee for this great honor.  After competing in an audition in September they also had to go through a rigorous screening before being allowed to participate in the concert.

Congratulations to seniors Matthew Hughes (tenor 1) Kristen Trent and Amanda Baker (soprano 1).  Junior Meghan Clark (alto 2)  and sophomore Morgan Cockrell (soprano 2).

Miller Perry Elementary  Student Data Conferences

Miller Perry has completed their mid-year student data conferences.  Students take ownership of their learning by leading conferences with their teaching team to set and achieve goals.  The fourth grade teaching teams are Mrs. Boggs/Mrs. Reynolds and Mrs. Brashear/Ms. Hale.  The fourth grade teaching teams have found the conferences to be very helpful in enabling students and teachers to reflect on areas of mastery and refinement in a one-on-one setting.
