HAPPY HOLIDAYS & A HEAVENLY NEW YEAR
Cheers my friends...
to good grub, great gatherings and GOD's blessings.
From everyone here at Play-Place for Autistic Children, we extend a warm and heartfelt "THANK YOU" to everyone for your overwhelming passion, generosity and support throughout the past year.
As I reflect on the many memorable moments of 2012, I am exceptionally grateful for the many strides PAC has made and even moreso for all the great families and PAC pals I've met along the way that have truly helped impact and expand my vision for PAC. For the welcoming, infectious smiles; the uncontrollable flow of tears as you've shared your stories; the heartwarming sound of joy and laughter as our kids slid down the giant slide at the Halloween party; splished and splashed at our swim event or caught a couple of pancakes at our pancake breakfast...PAC THANKS YOU! 2013 holds a plethora of promise with our grand opening, new friends and the opportunity to service the autism community. We know that with hard work, diligence and your continued support, we will continue to move forward with our goal of helping families affected by Autism.
CHEERS my friends! May 2013 bring you blissful breakthrough and an abundance of blessings!!!

PAC Permanent Home Update
Our goal for 2012 was to secure a permanent home for PAC so that we could begin the build-out process. After excitedly entering into very promising negotiations for property in the Marketplace Plaza located at 15 and Van Dyke, I'm disappointed to announce that during the final stage of talks, the owner unexpectedly pulled out, with no explanation. Optimistically encouraged, we have begun looking at other sites and hope to secure a home by January. I fell in love with the area and idea of it being near the hub of Macomb county and am concentrating on the 15/16 Mile and Van Dyke/Schoenherr areas. Fingers crossed, whispering into GOD's ear, PAC will be in Sterling Heights. Stay tuned... |

PAC Pal designs Holiday Card
PAC is proud to feature the original artwork of our PAC pal Todd Wallace which graced our very first holiday greeting card - mailed to over 200 families and friends. "BRIDGES" at Rockpointe Community Church
Is attending Sunday worship just unfathomable? Is service simply not conducive to your unique needs as a special needs family? Rockpointe Community Church has a special needs program called 'Bridges' with a team of skilled, ultra-sensitive volunteers who care for special needs children so that their parents can attend worship. They understand.
Rockpointe currently has room for several children at the 9:00am service & 1 or 2 open slots at the 11:00am service. Parents do not have to be a member at Rockpointe, however they do require that you remain in the building while they are caring for your child. Rockpointe is located at 38100 Utica Road (halfway between Schoenherr and Hayes), Sterling Heights.
For more information or to schedule an intake appointment, please contact program director, Barbara Waldorf at 586.322.2660 or Alan Dueweke at 586.202.2174. Be sure to tell them PAC sent you. |

A Spooky Good Time at PAC's Halloween Party
 | Pac's Halloween Party |
Big smiles, laughs, and full trick-or-treat bags helped cap off our biggest event ever! Our guests, most of whom came dressed up as their favorite super hero, comic book character, or classic halloween creation enjoyed an evening full of giant slides and bouncers, bowling, pumpkin decorating, trick or treat town, and so much more. A big THANK YOU goes out from everyone at PAC to all who attended, sponsored, and volunteered. Another thank you goes out to all of the businesses who participated in our trick-or-treat town.
With every event we put on, we are more excited, enthused, and driven to make Play-Place for Autistic Children a place unlike any other; a community where everyone feels welcome and invited. It was our pleasure to put on this free event and we can't wait for the next one!

Check out all of the great pictures from the event on our Facebook page! |
