Dear RTCA Supporter,

You will enjoy this newsletter.  It is filled with exciting information about our Chaplains and the teams of RTCA who make things happen for our Lord.  After 15 months as the Executive Director, I have had the opportunity to meet every Chaplain and many of our faithful volunteer Council members who assist with the important ministry outreach opportunities at our Race Tracks across the country.  I have visited almost every race track where our Chaplains serve.  I can tell you, that they are doing a fantastic job and truly give heart and soul to their ministry.  They do this at low pay and next to no benefits, but not one Chaplain whom I visited said, "Chaplain Wiley, I need more pay, I need more benefits".  It's just the opposite, after working long hours every day, they rejoice at the opportunity to bring God's word to people who need to hear the message of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Every place I traveled, the people working at our race tracks told me how much they love and need their Chaplain.  Praise the Lord!  And our Chaplains are so thankful for the help they receive from their
Council members.  They cannot do their ministry without their Council's faithful support and guidance.  You can be proud of the work they do and commitment they bring.  May God Bless you as you continue to pray, serve, and give to this vital and special ministry.  Have a great summer.

Ruidoso Downs High Tec
High Tech on the Back Side
article by Todd Fuqua/Reporter for The Ruidoso Free Press
The backside of Ruidoso Downs Race Track is a mini city, filled with people from all across two countries working and playing.

That includes more than a few sons and daughters that are out of school and needing some guidance. That's where the Racetrack Chapel comes in.

"This is a place to these kids a place to learn and grow," said Ruidoso Downs Chaplain Darrel Winter. "This isn't just play time, it allows the kids to learn and develop social skills. These are life lessons that they get from scripture. We try to convey that to the parents, all these things are important."  Click here to read the full article
