Successful Chaplain School hosted by RTCA Remington Park
Over 70 chaplains, volunteers, and guests participated in the annual Race Track Chaplaincy of America's Chaplain School held on April 4-6 in Oklahoma City, OK. The school featured guest speakers Ben Fike, and for the women's ministry, Carol Sallee.
The 2013 Chaplain School was a marvelous event for every participant, and the impact was both immediate and long-lasting, propelling RTCA into a much brighter and committed future.
This event and Saturday night's banquet would not have been possible without our generous sponsors: Dennis & Karen Wing of Oklahoma, Janet Vanbebber James of Oklahoma, Linder Oil & Gas of Texas, Millennium Farms of Kentucky, Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Assoc., RTCA Arizona Council, Remington Park of Oklahoma, RTCA Penn National Council of Pennsylvania, RTCA Remington Park Council of Oklahoma, Thoroughbred Racing Association, Thoroughbred Racing Association of Oklahoma, and Ben Hudson with Track Magazine of Texas.
RTCA would like to thank all those who participated in this year's event, as well as our guest speakers and special guests.

Preventative Health Services Available to Councils Through Life Line Screening
Life Line Screening (LLS) is the nation's leading provider of community-based or onsite preventive health services. The company provides affordable, convenient, high-quality screenings that are essential to the early detection of risk for stroke, heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and other conditions. These prevalent, serious conditions generally do not present symptoms until they are well established and causing significant health problems. Fortunately, these conditions can be detected by quick, painless non-invasive tests utilizing ultrasound and other methods.
LLS believe that the basic foundation to wellness is spiritual, social, emotional and preventive screenings. Our health promotion programs are and can improve an individual's quality of life while reducing overall health care costs. Screenings provide information to anyone on the back side or front side of the track that they would not have had before, bringing peace of mind that their health care is on the right track, or providing an early warning system that triggers lifestyle changes, medical engagement and can even save their lives.
Life Line Screening proposes that RTCA utilizes their diverse operational model to deliver access to their screening services for its back side Track individuals.
The 6 for Life Health Assessment PLUS package is a suggested screening package:
6 for Life Health Assessment Package PLUS:
Cholesterol and Glucose blood screening. Biometric screenings. Disease risk assessment for 6 chronic conditions PLUS Carotid Artery Disease screening.

Artist Fred Stone's Zenyatta & Foal Prints Still Available
In October, a statue of the great Zenyatta was unveiled at Santa Anita Park in Southern California. This true to life statue is a beautiful replica of a great horse. In 2012, Zenyatta was recognized as the Horizon Award Horse of the Year and was the winner of the 2009 Breeders' Cup Classic. She beat the boys. This amazing horse won 19 of her 20 Graded Stakes races .
Zenyatta retired from racing in November 2010 and arrived at Lane's End Farm in Versailles, Kentucky in December 2010. On March 8, 2012, Zenyatta gave birth to a beautiful dark bay colt. To remember this occasion, the great equine artist, Mr. Fred Stone, painted "Born to Greatness-Zenyatta and Foal".
This beautiful print on Fine Art paper and signed by Fred Stone is still available for purchase for only $60 + $12 shipping and handling. Order your print today by calling (859) 410-7822.
