The annual event, held on March 19, 2013, was a huge success with over 120 movers and shakers in the region, attending this inaugural event.  CLICK HERE to see the photo's.

 

The initiatives are moving forward and we are planning to have the first Community participation open house in June. We will be announcing the date, place and time, in our May newsletter.

Vice Chair Elected
 
Ricky Satcher, Market CEO for HMA (Charlotte County and North Port), has been elected to the vice chair position in the North Port Economic Development Corporation. He joins Freddy Koening who is also a vice chair. 
 
The addition of a second vice chair is reflective of the organizations growth and potential.

While the government is responsible for economic development, it is the private sector that makes economic development happen, and the North Port Economic Development Corporation will focus its efforts on working with both the public, civic, and private sectors to create economic engines and catalysts for economic development.
