We're hosting our first information session of the school year this weekend. Please spread the word to family, friends and coworkers who may be interested in learning more about our unique program. It's easy to share our event via Facebook. We welcome everyone to get to know us by coming to meet our teachers, ask questions and tour the campus. We've enhanced our prospective parents page - please share it. We have also put fun, helpful sharing cards in your parent folders that you may use to give more information to your friends, family and co-workers.

Recent Visit for French & Science Professional Development
AIS was pleased to host Vincent Gerard, who works for the French Ministry of Education as a science educator and teacher trainer, for 10 days this month, so that he could begin an ongoing partnership for professional development at the school. Vincent, who we met as part of the trip planning for our CM2 graduation trip to St. Avit-St. Nazaire, spent this first visit getting to know our teachers and how we operate as an international school. He will be working with CM1 and CM2 French teacher Cedric Herve to align the French curriculum with Next Generation Science Standards, with the goal of completion by June of next year. He will also be providing the Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade classes with feedback on their science teaching. We are excited about this new partnership to further develop the science instruction at the school and assist our teachers in making the most out of two excellent sets of science standards.
Missed Clothing
Parents, please pick up your child's clothes/items from the lost and found bin. Remember to write name of your child on everything! All items will go to donation at Winter Break.
Missing Papers
 | | Please help Hilary! |
Some student files are missing Wellness Statements, Immunization Records, Handbook Receipts, or Vision and Hearing Test Results.
Parents, we hate to chase after you, but these forms are required by the TDFPS and we are urging you to complete your child's file by submitting outstanding forms that Hilary Routon has already personally made you aware of. Please help us complete this important piece of your child's school experience.

Fund Run Follow Up
Thank you again to all of the students, parents, staff, family and friends who participated in last Friday's School Spirit Day and the 3rd Annual AIS Fun(d) Run.
It was a wonderful community event full of enthusiasm, excitement, and school pride. Special Thanks to Tracey and James Manuel, the PTO, Libba Letton and Whole Foods, and the many parent and staff volunteers who came together to make the day possible.
Pledge Payment Collection
Now that the run is over, the next step is to collect on all of the hard-earned pledges from family and friends that supported our students. Friends and family can make their payments online , or you can drop off your form and gifts in the designated box at the reception desk. When making a donation online, don't forget to specify which student you are sponsoring so he/she gets credit for their class!
Remember that for every $25 a student raises, they will receive one raffle ticket for their class (i.e., if Sally raises $100, she will have 4 raffle tickets entered for her class). We will hold a drawing and the class with the winning raffle ticket will win a Smoothie Party just for their class!
Pledge payments are due no later than Wednesday, November 20. We will tally the results and have the drawing for the Smoothie Party before the Thanksgiving Break. The Smoothie Party will be scheduled for the week of December 2, when we return. Exact date TBD with the winning class teacher and the parent volunteers.
