Help us Win the Annual Fund Challenge!
Thank you to everyone who has been so enthusiastic and supportive this week during our Annual Fund drive to win a $2,500 challenge grant from The William and Salome Scanlan Foundation. Please make your gift or pledge before FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1, to help us win $2,500 from the foundation.
We have received 12 new gifts so far this week - if we can get just 13 more gifts or pledges the foundation will award us $1,000! And if we get at least 28 more gifts or pledges, the foundation will award us $2,000! Kyle is happy to report that we already have three gifts over $250 - just two more will get us a bonus award of $500 from the foundation! ($250 is just $25 a month!) EVERY GIFT COUNTS - NO MATTER THE AMOUNT
Please know that all gifts help us reach our goals, whether you are able to contribute $25 or $2,500. And why not consider a recurring monthly gift? Just $5 or $10 a month would make a big impact.
Want to give but aren't quite ready? You can make a pledge online or fill out one of the forms at reception. You can then make your payment before May 31, 2014. Your written pledge of support before this Friday, November 1 will count toward our participation total and help us win the $2,500 grant from the William and Salome Scanlan Foundation.
If you're ready to give now or want to set up a monthly donation - click the link below or drop off your donation anytime this week. Cash, check, or credit card are accepted!

Thank you to everyone for helping us win this challenge and for being amazing supporters of our great school.

Third Annual Fun(d) Run.
The 3rd Annual Fun(d) Run will be held NEXT WEEK! You have received a flyer with details and pledge form in your parent folder. This fun event raises money for the school's recreational spaces, promotes being healthy and active, and encourages a lively spirit of competition among the students and classes.
On the morning of the event, Kyle and volunteers will be out to get the students excited with school-spirit face paint, hair color and other fun blue-and-green goodness!
For more details and to register your child online, please visit our online events page. You can also register in person by filling out the form at the reception desk and putting it in the designated blue box. Kyle will also be out next week with a sign-up table. The $5 registration fee gets your child a cool event t-shirt or water bottle! They can wear the shirt on "casual Fridays" at school!
We need parent volunteers to help this event be as much fun as it was last year! Please contact Tracey Manuel if you can help: (jtcmanuel@gmail.com or 512-897-7994).

Activities during Fund Run
On Friday November 8, 2013, the school is having the Fund run, a fundraising event. As you know, this event is largely followed by most of our students, and we love to support them all during this event. Because this event starts at 4:30 p.m., we have to make some modifications in regards to the After School Activities as follows:
- Lego III, piano II will be canceled on this day. Make-up classes for these will be on Friday December 13, at 4:35 pm
- Science I, Science CM2, and Study Hall will end at 4:25 p.m. to allow the children to get ready for the run
- Yoga class will start at 3:30 p.m. instead of 4:30 p.m., and will end at 4:25 p.m.
