AIS-PTO Meeting
It's going to be a spectacular year for PTO so get in early to help lead or volunteer for the variety of volunteer activities. Contact PTO President Kate McCarthy with inquiries and check out the PTO page on the AIS website.

AIS Board of Directors Meeting
The beginning of each board meeting is open to the public for observation. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
September 17 and 18
Individual Photo Days
Students will have their portrait photos taken by a professional photographer. Please send your child groomed for their school picture. Please see PTO message below if you would like to volunteer.

Announcements
School Forms
Please remember to turn in handbook acknowledgement receipts to Hilary, as well as any outstanding school forms. These are due immediately for your child's file.
Please turn Vision/Hearing/Scoliosis forms in to Hilary. You may leave items for Hilary Routon in her folder in the staff mailbox, which sits in the reception windowsill.
Extracurricular Activities
Information regarding camp during the October break is coming soon. Registration will start on September 16. Registration is first come, first served.
Registration for first semester extracurricular activities ends this Friday, September 6.
Did you know we offer free Study Hall to all students (CP1 and up) who are enrolled in the monthly after school care or while they wait for an extracurricular activity at AIS?
Thank you to parents who signed up their students to the Study Hall. Now students can do their homework in a quiet environment every day of the week.
Still on hold until Friday: Mandarin (Mondays), juggling (Tuesdays), Art Exploration II (Wednesdays), Sportball II (Thursdays), sciences III (Thursdays), yoga I (Fridays).
Communications
We have installed our t.v. display in the reception area, so coming soon we will have announcements and photos there. If you are on Twitter, please follow us. We'll be sharing quick updates and school news there as well!

PTO News
Next Meeting is September 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Pizza Friday
Parents, we had a great first Pizza Friday last week with lots of excited and enthusiastic children enjoying their pizzas. To keep pizzas extra warm this year, we have two deliveries for Pizza Friday - one for each lunch period. We also still a few more volunteers. School Pictures
Parents, we still need a few more volunteers on Tuesday, September 17, and Wednesday, September 18, for student photo days from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. If you would like to volunteer, please contact lconnor30@yahoo.com.
