Stormwater Conference
ACWA Director Richard Holloway successfully presented his paper
"The Dirty Truth About Car Washing" at the recent national Stormwater conference.

The conference was attended by national, State and local Council water and stormwater regulators and also by the ACWA President Greg Cummins, ACWA CEO Diane Ross, and Darren Brown, ACWA Tasmanian State Representative. The Directors felt that the Conference was the right place for ACWA to be and helped them realise how much focus there is on stormwater management, stormwater harvesting and flood mitigation programs. The carwash industry stormwater pollution problems and particularly the enforcement of pollution legislation are mirrored by several other organisations, including the State EPAs and water authorities. We are not alone out there in lobbying for enforcement.
