TCAPs

Transitional Colorado Assessment Program (TCAP) Around the State and Across Twin Peaks

It doesn't seem possible that the TCAP (known formerly as the CSAP) is here!

TCAP for grades 3-10 is March 11 and will continue through
March 29.

As we at Twin Peaks participate in this round of testing, parents can foster high results.  There are many ways to support your student(s) for the events of test days: provide a HEALTHY breakfast on testing days, ensure your students have a full night's sleep, and remind them of the importance of the test.  Also, please take note of the TCAP testing schedule when planning vacations, doctor's appointments, or other elective absences of any kind. Please plan around test days as all students in Grades 3-10 will be tested in the areas of Reading, Writing, and Math. Science is tested in 5th, 8th, and 10th grades

Make up days will be provided within this time period but, these are not optimal testing conditions for students to perform at their best.

With your support, our students will demonstrate their true potential.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

With the continued moisture and cold weather, pick-up and drop-off areas can be slick despite our efforts to remove the snow and ice.

Our K-12 campus has a variety of students being dropped off and picked up at each of the areas.

We ask that you use caution and always think "SLOW IN THE SCHOOL ZONE" when entering the campus drop-off or pick-up areas.

Thank you.

 SILENT AUCTION
Silent Auction Donations

The Twin Peaks Education Foundation will be holding an online auction April 22 through May 2 with all proceeds benefiting technology, communication, professional development, facilities and scholarships.  If you would like to donate an item or service for the auction, please contact Beth Witzak at beth.witzak@conferencedirect.com.

Crackpots

The Crackpots project for the Twin Peaks Education Foundation online auction has been finalized. Studio fees will be picked up by a donation from one of our TPCA families. Teachers and staff who wish to participate will need to go to Crackpots during one of three designated times and paint a piece of their choosing.  Pieces will be at your own expense and start at $12. You may check out your pottery and Crackpots' paints for 48 hours so that your students can help you decorate your piece. Crackpots paints must be used in order for their kilns to fire the pieces correctly.

We need to have a minimum of 8 people at each of the three sessions. Our current proposed times are Tuesday, March 19, 4:30-6:30;

Friday, March 22, 6:00-8:00; and Saturday, March 23, 10:00-12:00. Please respond by email to beth.witzak@conferncedirect.com with "Crackpots Participation" in the Subject Line by Thursday afternoon if you would like to participate.  Also indicate which time you would like to paint so we can confirm our times with Crackpots on Friday.

Outstanding Composers Showcase
