Please return your Intent to Re-enroll Form by January 25 to insure that a seat is reserved for your student next year.  Forms were sent to you with the Quarter 2 report card.  If you need another copy, please stop by either school office, or download one at www.twinpeakscharter.org > Admissions. VOLUNTEER REQUESTS
 

Volunteers needed to sell Re-Loadable Grocery Cards

The PTO will be selling Re-loadable Safeway and King Soopers Cards during Parent-Teacher Conferences, Thursday, February 7 and Friday, February 8. We need a few volunteers, in one hour shifts, to assist.

 

THURSDAY: 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m.

FRIDAY: 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.

 

Volunteers needed to staff Election Booth

Volunteers needed, in 1 hour increments on Thursday, February 7 and Friday, February 8,  to staff the Board of Directors election booth.

 

THURSDAY: 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 7 p.m.

FRIDAY: 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m.

Volunteers Needed for TPCA Dental Clinic

Need 2 volunteers on Tuesday, January 29  from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. to help with TPCA Dental Clinic.  Duties include finding students and escorting them to the designated testing area. Contact Erika James, TPCA Health Clerk at james_erika@svvsd.org

 

Book Fair Volunteers Needed

In conjunction with the 2 Million Minutes Reading Challenge, Twin Peaks will be hosting an Usborne book fair during February conferences.  Volunteers are needed to help set up, man, and tear down the book fair on February 6, 7 and 8.  If you are interested, please contact Sandy Sandman at sandman_sandy@svvsd.org

 

 

Volunteers Needed for MS Valentine's Dance

The Middle School Valentine's Dance is coming on Friday, February 15! Mr. Birch and the Student Leadership Team need several parent volunteers to help with set-up and decorations, supervision, food service, and clean-up. The dance, for 6-8th grade students only, will be held in the Commons and the Cafetorium from 3-6 p.m. Set-up and decoration crews will need to arrive much earlier. There will be a planning meeting for any volunteers sometime in early February. Please respond to Mr. Birch if you can help during the dance: birch_brian@svvsd.org or 303-772-7286. Re-loadable Grocery Cards for sale

King Soopers and Safeway Re-loadable Cards will be available for purchase in the West Lobby, next week during Parent-Teacher Conferences. King Soopers cards are $5.00 (with a $5.00 balance on the card); Safeway cards are $10.00 (with a $10.00 balance on the card).

TPCA earns 5% of every dollar that you load and reload on your cards!

Tutoring by High School Students Returns February 11 

 

Tutoring by high school students returns on Monday, February 11.

Third-8th grade students are eligible to be tutored by TPCHS students on Mondays from 3:10-3:55, in the high school. Parents/guardians of elementary or middle school students should contact Lori West at west_lori@svvsd.org to have their student placed on the tutoring list. 

 

Your student may be picked up on the east campus at 3:55. Any other arrangements must be made in advance with Mrs. West.

TPCA Yearbook

The yearbook staff is excited about the 2013 yearbook and has been working hard to include all of the great stories and students of Twin Peaks.  February 8 WILL BE THE LAST DAY TO BUY THE YEARBOOK! It is $50 for the middle/high school book & $25 for the elementary book. Don't miss out on your last chance to guarantee a 2013 yearbook. If you have already purchased a book, thank you! This year's book is one you won't want to miss!  

National Junior Honor Society  

The next National Junior Honor Society meeting is January 29.

   

 

Mrs. Esterline's 7th Grade Science classes have worked very hard for more than a semester learning the nature of matter, atomic theory, and chemistry.  Twin Peaks 7th graders have far exceeded expectations. Congratulations to the 50 students who earned A's on their Chemical Reactions Test 

this last Friday!  It

was a culminating exam requiring proficiency in all the concepts they have learned thus far.

 

 

A special Thank You goes to Tiffany Dreher for all of her volunteer help with Middle School athletics, especially the new built-in board in the middle school hall.
