Twin Peaks Board of Directors Annual Election Nominations are Now Open

Do you have a love for education and a desire to make Twin Peaks the best that it can be? The Twin Peaks Board of Directors self-nomination period is now open.  Parents and community members are encouraged to apply by requesting and submitting a brief questionnaire.  Nomination packets are due back by Tuesday, January 22.  The election will be held during Parent- Teacher conferences February 7 and 8.  Newly elected members may begin attending meetings immediately and begin service at the last meeting in June.  Three board positions are up for election, and the term of service is 2 years.  Regular meetings are held the first and third Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

Ideal candidates will bring energy and enthusiasm for making TPCA the best school possible.  Past boards have benefited from the contributions of many different professions like legal, financial, accounting, education, management, etc.  A board comprised of members with a variety of backgrounds and skill sets is ideal.

Board packets can be picked up at the West Campus front office or electronically from Ginger Cauley or Pete Wanninger.  If you have any questions, please contact Ginger or Pete. cauley_ginger@svvsd.org or

Timber Wolves Weather Team!

The Timber Wolves Weather Team has 12 openings for science- minded students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades who want to learn all about weather and meteorology. We will be discussing different types of weather, storms, and forecasting so we can understand our world better. The club will meet directly after school on Mondays from 3-4 p.m. from January 28 through May 6 in room 208 on the west campus. The cost for the club will be $20. Students can get permission slips from the west campus front office or click on this link: Weather Club Permission Form

A special Thank You goes to Tiffany Dreher for all of her volunteer help with Middle School athletics, especially the new built-in board in the middle school hall.

Basketball Club
Timber Wolves Basketball Club has 19 openings for students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades who want to learn to dribble, pass, and shoot in a non-competitive environment. The focus of the Timber Wolves Basketball Club is to teach the fundamentals of basketball for students who haven't yet played in competitive leagues. We will work on dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive drills each night and play pickup games so players can learn the game while having a good time. Basketball Club will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. from January 29 through March 20. The cost of basketball club will be $20. Students can get permission slips from the west campus front office or click on this link: Basketball Club Permission Form.

Also, this is a great opportunity for 3 high school basketball players (girls or boys) who want to volunteer to help with the practices.
