Tiny House for encampment on display at

Sustainable Ballard Festival

Thank you to Mayor Murray who has confirmed that the Ballard homeless encampment will be going ahead as planned at NW Market Street.  The city-owned site will feature both tiny houses and tents with platforms.

Kudos to the Mayor for his leadership in response to the crisis of homelessness.  He identified three tent encampment sites on city-owned properties in Ballard, Interbay, and SODO.

Nickelsville will operate their self-management model.  LIHI will provide case management and move families into stable housing.

There will be a Neighborhood Notification Meeting about this project at Trinity United Methodist Church (6512 23rd Ave NW in Ballard)

at 7:00 PM on Monday, October 19th, 2015.
