Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) would like to thank all the parents and students who participated in Hough FBLA Week February 8-12. We had a great turn out and we really enjoyed the activities for this week and a special thanks to Ray Richards for organizing the events.
What Happened During FBLA Week

Made Up Monday -
Members were looking great, rocking their professional best. Students were encouraged to dress their best to school and show everyone what class looks like.

Tech Tuesday - Super Smash Bro's Tournament -
We had a wonderful turnout to our first ever Tournament and what fun it was! In fact it was such a success that we will be planning to make it a recurring event.

We Love Teachers Wednesday -
One of FBLA's best events of the year is our annual Teacher Appreciation Breakfast with all faculty and staff invited to enjoy the feast. Local businesses generously donate to the cause and the staff is always are surprised and excited. Not only is our staff treated to a delicious breakfast, but they are also invited to join a raffle. This year we had a total of 47 prizes raffled off that day.
Team Sport Thursday -
Hough's sports teams were asked to make a poster to show the school what their sport is all about.  Hough Athletes were encouraged to represent their teams by creating a poster that showed what their sport was all about. The winner was Hough's Track Team!
T-shirt Friday -
Club members picked up their shirts and wore them to show off the club.  The t-shirt was designed by Robert Savino and looks great. If you see him in the halls or at a meeting be sure to tell him how great he did!  Anyone who didn't get their shirt should see Mrs. Kyei-Fordour in room C224.

If you are in FBLA or the Parent of someone in FBLA and are not on our email list please email us at Hough.FBLA@gmail.com and we will add you to the list. Also visit us at http://houghfbla.weebly.com/

The Howler may be distributed within a few days past the deadline, so please submit your articles on time, or even better, early!  It is best to publicize events with dates that take place at least a week past the deadline.  Sometimes, that means advanced planning and article submission at least one Howler prior. Thank you for your cooperation.

Requirements for submssions:  Articles should be typed in Arial 11 font; if you want a picture included, please indicate placement within text and submit a separate jpg file.  If you want to link to a document or flyer, please send fllyer or document as a pdf file.  If you want it as an image in the article, please send as a jpg file.  If including a picture, please indicate names of those in picture (left to right.) (unless it is a huge group) and identify who is providing the picture.  If no identification is provided, we will identify the name of person providing the submission.  If submission is sent by a student or parent for a Hough club/organization, Hough staff advisor must be copied.  Editor reserves the right to edit or decline articles not meeting the abovementioned criteria.  If you have questions about any of these requirements for submission, please contact the Editor prior to the deadline.  Thank you for your cooperation.
