Bailey Middle School will be hosting Social Media Education Night on January 19th at 7:00-8:30 p.m. (Parents Only!) Susan Wind, local Cyber Safety and Social Media expert, will provide parents with some very specific ways to help monitor and protect your teenager from the potential hazards of social media. This presentation includes content designed for an adult audience so students and children are not permitted to attend. Please note that this is taking place at Bailey Middle School. Hough parents are encouraged to attend.

ORCHESTRA DAY AT PROSCIUTTO'S!

Tuesday, January 19^th(all day)

Pizza for dinner! Yay! Prosciutto's Pizza in Cornelius will donate a portion of their proceeds for the entire day to the orchestra! Just be sure to tell them that you are supporting the Hough Orchestra when you order! (take-out or dine-in)

Make Up Exam Day

Wednesday, January 20

Wednesday, January 20 is make up exam day. Students who missed an exam are required to attend. Other students will be in a study hall. As reminder this day has also been designated as a CMS early release day and therefore Hough students will be dismissed at 11:15am. Please make plans to have your student picked up promptly at that time if they are car riders. Buses will depart shortly after dismissal. Teachers will be engaged in professional development once school ends through the end of the day.

This Thursday, January 21 begins the first day of second semester. Students will report to homeroom when they arrive to school to receive their second semester schedule. Schedule changes will only be made for those students that do not have a full schedule, students that have been misplaced, or for students that need a specific course in order to graduate this year.
