Hour of Code Next Week
December 7-13
Submitted by Rachel Laminack

Hough will be hosting Hour of Code throughout the week of December 7th - 13th, in honor of Computer Science Education Week. This year's theme for the worldwide Hour of Code event is Star Wars.

Any students that would like to sign up to try coding for an hour during either second or third block, should speak to Mrs. Kyei-Fordjour in room C224, or look for the hour of code table during one of the lunches.

Hough of Code is an opportunity for students to try computer programming for one hour throughout the span of a week. This is a great way to see if the students have an interest in computer science and technology. Hour of code offers programs for students who have no experience at all, as well as programs for students that have coded before.

We are asking for anyone with experience or knowledge of computer languages to become a guest speaker to inform students on their experiences with computer programming.

For more information about Hour of Code, visit code.org

For information about guest speaking, or any additional questions visit room C224 or email karenj.kyei-fordjour@cms.k12.nc.us
