Hough Musical Auditions

"The Little Mermaid"

*Parent meeting for the musical is Nov 30th at 3pm and 7pm in the Auditorium.  You only have to attend one meeting.  

*Students will not be cast/allowed on the tech crew if parents do not attend the meeting.

*Student Tech Interest Meeting for the Musical is Jan 11, 2016 from 2:15-2:45pm.

Musical Auditions: Nov 30, Dec 1, 2.  
Callbacks on Dec 4.
Be prepared to sing, act and dance all in one day. Sign ups are on the door to the auditorium. 
 
Vocals
If you are interested in a main part, choose 2 songs---1 song that your preferred character sings in "the Little Mermaid", and another that is contrasting (does not need to be from the show). Each selection should be no more than 1 minute or approximately 32 bars. For example: a portion of Part of Your World & Bare Necessities from Jungle Book. (ballad & up tempo OR just contrasting in character styles)

If you are interested in ensemble, choose 1 musical theatre song that best showcases your vocal ability and personality AND is age/theme appropriate. Selection should be no more than 1 minute or approximately 32 bars.

All songs should have an accompaniment "track" with no vocals. You may put this track on your iphone or ipod or bring a CD.  If you only have piano sheet music, please make arrangements with Ms. Hickox in advance. No unaccompanied songs will be permitted.

Monologue
1 min monologue that is age and genre appropriate.

Dance
Wear dance wear and shoes. No jeans.
