CDO Academic Decathlon National - Results

At the United States Academic Decathlon National Finals, the CDO team faced more than 50 teams from across the US, Canada, the UK, and China.

Led by a record-breaking performance by Sarah Spurlin, the team finished 5th in the large-school division, and 9th overall. Sarah earned 6 medals, the most ever by a CDO student at nationals, including bronze in Science and Speech, silver in Music and Art, and gold in Interview and Essay. Sarah also received a medal and a scholarship for having the highest overall score on the team.

Sarah Sheldon earned a gold medal in Essay, David Arbogast earned a silver medal in Interview, and Alli Gilbreath earned a bronze medal in Interview. Piper Gray earned a special medal and scholarship for being selected by her teammates as the most valuable member of the team.
Everyone had a fantastic trip and they got to spend some time exploring the wild beauty of Alaska.

The entire team and Mr Yetman extend a huge thank you to all the people who supported AcDec financially and emotionally during this remarkable year.

Thank you very much!
