| Teacher Appreciation Week |
Dear CDO Community,
This week we will celebrate all of our teachers and teaching assistants during Teacher Appreciation Week.
I know that each of us can probably point to at least one teacher we have had over the years who made a profound impact on our lives. Often, we can't remember the exact details of what these mentor teachers taught us. What we do remember is how they cared about us as students and how they inspired us to achieve beyond what we thought possible.
Horace Mann stated, "Teachers teach because they care. Teaching young people is what they do best. It requires long hours, patience, and care." We have an amazing group of dedicated teachers and support staff at Canyon del Oro High School. I applaud them for the passion they demonstrate each day to help young people discover and achieve their dreams.
Please join me in expressing your appreciation for the hard work and dedication of all of our teachers this week!
Sincerely,
Paul DeWeerdt

Senior Parents:
With one and one-half weeks left for seniors, please take a few minutes to ensure that your senior student is passing all of his classes, has completed all of his distance learning classes, and has secured an Early Grade Report form for his Pima classes. If you have any questions about your student's graduation status, please feel free to contact his counselor and/or the teacher of any class that you are concerned about. We look forward to seeing you at graduation!

Graduating seniors, please check that you have a copy of your immunizations at home. You will need them when you register at college/university later this summer. If you are unable to locate them, please come by the CDO nurse's office before the end of the school year and we will be happy to provide you a copy of your immunization records. Please note that the nurse's office is closed during the summer and it will be more difficult to get copies.
Thank you,
