CDO DO YOU HAVE TALENT? Can you ride a unicycle while juggling? Can you perform a martial arts routine? Do you have a dance that will blow the roof off the house? Then come audition for CDO's Talent Show.
Auditions are Tuesday and Wednesday April 1 and April 2 from 3:30- 6:00pm, even though Wednesday is a half day.
You must pick up an audition sheet in the Fine Arts Lobby. See you there!

Pre-registration for 2014-2015
If your student was absent on the day that his/her English class met with the counselors to submit their course selections for the 2014-2015 school year and hasn't already turned in his/her course selections to the counseling office, please have your student do so immediately. Course requests are being tallied so that the master schedule can be created. If your student does not turn in his/her course selections, he/she will not receive a schedule for next year.
Save the Date: Financial Aid Night
CDO will once again be hosting Financial Aid Night on Wednesday, April 9 at 6:00 pm in the CDO Lecture Hall. This presentation will be facilitated by a member of the HEFAR group. Come learn more about the FAFSA, paying for college, and what you can do NOW to help ensure that your student is eligible for the most money possible.
Changes coming to the Counseling website!
If you use the CDO website to direct you to the CDO Counseling site, you may have already noticed that changes are being made! Because students are not able to access our website from on-campus (google sites are blocked for students on campus), we have made the decision to change our site over to a Novus site (the district approved site). A huge "Thank you!" goes out to Ms. Paula Evans who has taken the lead on this project and is solely responsible for getting it done so quickly!! As soon as we have the last few pieces ready to go on the new site, we will be shutting down the old site. CDO's state champion Academic Decathlon team urges you to eat at Rubio's at First and Oracle on Thursday, April 3rd, between 5 and 9. The AIMS Math testing on April 9th is required for all sophomores and any juniors & seniors that have yet to pass. The Stanford 10 testing and AIMS Science testing is required for all freshman. Please make note, sophomores need to report for testing on Tuesday, April 9th, freshman need to report for testing on BOTH days. These are late in days for non-testing students with one lunch beginning at 11:47 and classes beginning at 12:27. There is not tutoring on either day and the bell schedule is as follows.

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS! Your 2014 Prom is right around the corner! Tickets will be going on sale next week - starting on Monday, March 31. You can purchase your prom tickets in the Bookstore - starting at $35.00! Don't forget that prices go up $5.00 each week! You will need your CDO ID, and if you will be bringing a guest from another school, you will need to pick up a non-CDO guest form from the Admin. Office and have it completely filled out before purchasing your tickets.
PROM TICKETS will ONLY be sold before school Monday through Friday and during both lunches Monday through Thursday, so please plan accordingly.

On Tuesday evenings in the Ironwood Ridge High School MPR, a nationally renowned speaker is coming to do a series about how to speak to and handle teenagers. She did a summary presentation last month, and it was awesome.
You are welcome to join us, it will be worth your time. Please forward this to friends and family who might be interested.
