Finals Week
Note from our Principal
  

Dear CDO Community,

 

The fall semester has almost come to a close. We have final exams this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Students will be released each day at 11:10 AM. Students do not have school on Friday. The administrative offices will be closed for business from December 23rd until January 3rd. Second semester begins on January 6th.

 

This semester was full of great memories for me and I am very proud of the accomplishments of our students and staff. We will continue to work on the new mission statement when we return in January. We will also continue to work on preparations for the 50th Anniversary Celebration scheduled for the fall of 2014. I am looking forward to a productive spring semester and ultimately watching the Class of 2014 graduate.

 

I would like to thank everyone in the CDO community for your support and the warm welcome I continue to receive. CDO is a special place and I feel blessed to be part of the "Tradition of Excellence".

REMINDER TO STUDENTS:

 

 1)     STUDENTS WHO ARE ABSENT THE DAY OF A FINAL EXAM NEED TO HAVE A PARENT CALL THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE TO GET THE ABSENCE EXCUSED.  STUDENTS WILL NEED TO SCHEDULE WITH THEIR TEACHER(S) A TIME TO TAKE THE FINAL EXAM WHEN 2ND SEMESTER BEGINS.

 

 2)    IT IS EACH STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO RETURN BOOKS TO THE BOOKSTORE AND TO THE LIBRARY

 

 3)    STUDENTS WHO WISH TO TAKE THEIR FINALS EARLY MUST HAVE PRIOR APPROVAL BY THE PRINCIPAL.  PARENTS NEED TO SUBMIT A LETTER WITH THE REASON TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE.

 

4)    SEMESTER GRADE/REPORT CARDS WILL BE MAILED HOME THE WEEK OF JANUARY 6, 2014.

 

5)    SCHOOL OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED FROM DECEMBER 23, 2013 THROUGH JANUARY 5, 2014.

 

6)    RETURN FOR 2nd SEMESTER,MONDAY, JANUARY 6, 2014.

 

 

BUSSES WILL DEPART APPROXIMATELY AT 11:20 A.M.
