This spring has been incredibly busy with our Career and Technical Education students competing in state competitions. CDO students did exceptionally well and earned the following awards:
Marketing State Competitions:
Anthony Cordova earned a $1,000 DECA Scholarship for 3rd place in Business Operations Marketing Research
Trevor Dickerson, the current State DECA officer, is running for a National DECA office and earned 4th place in Automotive Services
Valerie Linquist 3rd place in Sports and Entertainment Business Operations Marketing Research
Celeste Perkins-2nd oplace in Hospitality Marketing Research
Bryana Blackmon 2nd place in Hospitality Marketing Research
Architecture and Construction State Competitions
Austin Sanchez placed first in masonry competition
Jon Burros placed first in cabinet making competition
Both of these students will be going to Kansas City in June for National competition
Steve Anders and Chris Parrish placed 3rd in two person carpentry competition
Lauren Bowyer placed 3rd in Architectural Drafting
Dustin Traylor place 4th in the Technical Drawing competition
Chandler Babler, Savannah, Salazar, Eric Pisciotta and Taylor McCann placed 4th in the team construction competition

These students will be competing in Nationals in July in Nashville, Tennessee
Rachel McCracken and Mary Carswell earned $2500 scholarship to Grand Canyon University
Culinary Arts
C-CAP (Careers through Culinary Arts Programs) awarded Nicole Carpenter a $50,000 scholarship to the Art Institute of Tucson.
Bryn Timmis was awarded as one of the Top 10 Junior in Arizona.
