Swimmers Needed for a Practice Water Safety Clinic

Teacher Josh & Teacher Jamie are working together to create the first ever Water Safety Clinic at FSS. They need some swimmers to practice their techniques with before the clinic on August 29th. The practice clinic will be this Sunday, August 9th from 4:00-6:00pm for ages 4-9 years old. There are only 10 spots available, so if interested, call the office ASAP to reserve your spot(s). The practice clinic is a free event!
Things to know about the practice clinic:
- Qualifications: swimmers must be able to swim the length of the Big Pool using the freestyle stroke and on their back
- Swimmers will need to wear their swimsuits and bring some clothes and shoes to wear over their suits into the pool (pants - not jeans, a shirt and shoes that you don't mind getting wet). Don't forget to bring a bag to use for the wet clothes and shoes afterwards.
- Parents are welcome to stay and watch
- Jamie & Josh will be teaching from out of and in the water depending on what techniques the swimmers are working on
- Activities may include:
- Jumping into the pool with clothes on and swimming to the side
- Back floating & treading water with clothes on
- Safety rules ("Reach or throw - don't go", etc.)
- Treading water
- Much more!
- Registration is required to attend the practice clinic
Water Safety Clinic: Saturday, August 29th
- Cost: $15/swimmer
- Sessions:
- 4-5 year olds: 5:30-6:30pm
- 6-9 year olds: 6:30-7:30pm
- Registration through the office is required to attend the event
