5th Grade Art to Be Displayed
at Sonoma Valley Museum of Art (SVMA)

Our 5th graders recently had the opportunity to participate in the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art's A.R.T.S. program, under the direction of Rosemary McNeely. Along with designing their "ultimate art studios" on graph paper...our young designers grouped up and each designed a chair for the senses... taste, smell, sound touch and sight.

The designs, from schools throughout the Valley, will be on display at the SVMA next month.

4th Grade Builds Rockets
Dominic Pucci's grandfather has been working with our 4th grade class for the past five or so weeks on basic physics. The students have enjoyed participating in various demonstration involving force and the signs to look for when observing a chemical reaction.  They particularly enjoyed designing the rockets, which will be launched when the rain finally ends!
CLASS PHOTOS!

Presentation Grads Build School in Nicaragua

After six months of bonding over planning meetings and fundraising projects, 18 SVHS students, two teachers and a Seeds of Learning volunteer journeyed to Nicaragua over spring break to build a learning center in the rural town of Pedro Arauz.

On the trip were two Presentation grads:  Isabel Garon In baseball cap) and Olivia Yazzolino (crouching in white tee) both class of 2012. Their cultural experience was tremendous through their efforts to learn about the local people, speak their language and contribute hard work and sweat toward the building of a learning center.

You can learn more about Seeds of Learning HERE.
