Art Faire Showcases Range of Student Work
Our students displayed a wide range of artwork across several different mediums at last week's art show. The parents enjoyed seeing the unique creations and the students, as usual, were entranced by the gift baskets up for raffle. Many thanks to Mrs. Brayton, our classroom teachers, our art docents and all the many parent volunteers who set up for the show.

Tech Update
Presentation School students are enjoying 21 new Chromebooks, 12 LCD classroom projectors and ten new Elmo document readers in the classrooms. The laptops are kept in a rolling charging cart in the library and are scanned out to students and classes as needed. The initial feedback from the students has been great as the Chromebooks are light, portable and easy to use. All a student needs to do is log in using their new Presentation School gmail address to access all of their email ad google documents.
To ensure that we get the most out of these new computers, a team of six Presentation School teachers will be attending a three-day Google in Education workshop over the summer.

Teachers Enjoy Appreciation Lunch at Mamma Tannino's
Thank you to the parents who donated funds and made the recent teacher appreciation luncheon a big success. All grades contributed toward a lovely luncheon at Mamma Taninos as a way to thank teacher and staff for all of their hard work. Carolina Salmonsen, Bree Curotto and Lisa Dedmore were on hand to thank them personally on behalf of the entire the school.
We appreciate all of the generous support from the parents. The 4th and 5th grades deserve an "honorable" mention as they came in with very high numbers. Thank you to the room parents for their contribution -- reaching out and getting everyone motivated to participate!
Mamma Taninos provided an extensive menu at a reduced rate and opened their restaurant for lunch especially for our school. A big thank you to Kim and Gaetano for their generous hospitality.

Graduate Nina Sheridan Chosen for Girl's State Nina Sheridan, class of 2010, was chosen by her high school, Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut, as their selection to represent the school this summer at Girls State (www.boysandgirlsstate.org). Girls State is an acclaimed leadership program sponsored by the American Legion in which one junior from each high school in the state is nominated by her principal to spend an intensive week of study, all expenses paid, learning the political process, discussing politics and hearing speakers (there is also a separate Boys State program).
Nina was also recently named by Choate to the National Cum Laude Society (www.cumlaudesociety.org), one of only ten juniors selected from a class of 200, based on her GPA.
Please send us more news of our graduates!
