 Tolay
Last Friday, the first grade class went to the Tolay Fall Festival.  The festival featured a "creatures" barn full of creepy critters, a straw maze, a petting zoo, lawn games, a Native American village, old fashioned crafts for the kids and a pumpkin seed spitting contest.

The highlight of the festival is a hayride to a huge pumpkin patch where each students gets to pick out his or her own pumpkin.  The trip was full of fun and learning.

 4th Grade Studies Family Trees
Family trees
Mrs. Coffey's 4th grade class has been reading James and The Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  They have been learning that there are many different types of families.  For this, they have had to become their own geneologists by studying their own family history and creating their own family tree.

Students presented their trees in front of many 4th grade parents, friends and family on Wednesday afternoon.  Keenen said:  "My parents and I had to look really far back into our history.  I learned a lot about my family.  My grandpa fought in a war, which I thought was really cool."
Presentation Celebrates Dia de los Murtos

Gracias!
