Message from Nancy Fischman:
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and children, we would like to thank everyone in our school community for making our Imagine Wild Wild West event such a great success. Paddles were raised to over $39,000 for our Fund-A-Need for Technology! We will be able to resume upgrading the technology used by our teachers and students ensuring that powerful teaching and learning continues.
New laptops are on the way, as classroom projectors and much more. Events like this bring our community together and ensure the ongoing success of our school.

Presentation Launches Scrip Program
Presentation's new Shop and Support program allows you to purchase gift cards for everyday shopping and more. A percentage of these each card purchased is donated back to our school.
SCRIP is a gift card from national and local retailers, the same you would buy at the store. Many popular local retailers participate in our SCRIP program, (see attached list), such as Safeway, Whole Food, Lucky, CVS, Rite Aid, Starbucks, Papa Murphy's, Shell & 76 gas, and many more. You can even order Land's End SCRIP to buy your uniforms and 16% will come back to the school!
Participating retailers agree to sell gift cards to our school at a discount. Member families buy the cards at full-face value and redeem them for full-face value, and our school keeps the difference as revenue. SCRIP benefits all parties as the retailer gets cash up front and repeat business, you can help raise funds for the school without having to sell anything, and the school gets a regular source of revenue to help wherever needed.
The best part about SCRIP is that you are putting your regular household spending dollars to work. You can earn money for our school by not spending an additional penny above your regular shopping dollars.
We plan on having a SCRIP table during drop off and pick up once a week where you can place new orders, pick up the orders you have placed, or just to ask general questions about the program. This Tuesday morning Kelly Pucci will be in the library happy to help families to sign up.
You can also email any questions to the SCRIP coordinator at scrip@presentationschool.com.

Notes from the Parent's Association
The Parents Association met last week and is very excited about our new SCRIP program. You will be receiving more information on how to sign up this week. Also, don't forget to check your eScrip account and update it if necessary. For those of you who have not signed up it is an easy process and only takes a few minutes. Our ID number is 137107396.
The Association will be holding a Bake Sale on Friday the 26th after school to benefit the Presentation Garden. We are asking for donations of cakes, cookies or cupcakes to be brought to the office Friday morning. This will be an all cash event we will not be able to charge school accounts for this.
We have had a great start on our Box Tops drive, please keep saving and bringing them in. There are envelopes in each class for you or your children to drop them off.
Also, don't forget to participate in some of our other fundraising programs, like See's Candy, Papa Murphy's night and Dine and Donate at Mary's Pizza.
We would like to encourage parents to come to our monthly meetings to see special speakers and stay for our business meeting. We have great committees that always welcome new volunteers, please consider joining a committee or volunteering for one of their events. The following is a list of our committees: Speaker Series, Angels, Dad's Club, Presentation Garden and Social. You can pick up a flyer in the office with more details on these committees or feel free to Contact Co-President Carolina Salmonsen at 707-694-4100 or csalmonsen@msn.com.

Cross Country Update from Miss Amy
The team competed in a meet last Tuesday in Windsor at the Riverfront Regional Park. It was the ultimate cross country paradise. The course took the 6th and 7th graders around a quiet lake edged by redwoods. It was the longest route at 2.1 miles. The 5th graders ran a 1.1 mile stretch. Both runs finished in an incredible redwood grove.
We are fortunate to live in an area where we can exercise in the most beautiful places. I hope these students will not only take that appreciation for the outdoors with them but also the continued enthusiasm they found while hitting the trails. I continue to be inspired by our students. I am proud of each and every one of them for completing this 4th season with good sportsmanship and determination.
Congrats to our 5th grader, Michaela Schillinger for taking 2nd place in the girls division.
