Welcome to the April newsletter of the Warners Bay Community Garden.
Even though its now officially autumn, things are really hotting up with our community garden.
Bunya Park Decision
The decision over where the WBCG should be located has been a long journey. We're all very excited to be approaching the day when we can actually start doing what we do best - gardening. A date has been confirmed on which councillors will consider, debate and possibly take a preliminary vote on the suitability of Bunya Park for the community garden.
You can help make a difference!
DATE: Monday 3rd May 2010
TIME: seating at 4:15pm
LOCATION: LMCC Council Chambers
126-138 Main Rd, Speers Point

Children are welcome to attend but
must not interrupt council proceedings
Delegates from the community garden will be addressing council on the day. In order to ensure a successful outcome for your community garden, it is imperative that we get as many people as possible attending this very important meeting. Further information will be available at our monthly public meeting on Sunday 2nd May (see below). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Trish on (02) 4947 1821 or via email
Market Stall
Our April market stall attracted a lot of interest in the project and it is always fantastic to hear such positive feedback from members of the community. The most frequently asked question is "where is the community garden". Hopefully we will soon be able to answer that question.
A raffle was conducted this month to win a hamper of fresh, locally grown produce donated by our members. Each seedling purchased from the stall entitled you to a ticket in the draw.
This months lucky winner is Katie Moyle.
Congratulations Katie!
Thank you to all those people who donated produce.
Our next market stall will be held on Sunday 9th May, 2010 at the Lions Club Markets, John Street, Warners Bay.
Market time is 8.00am - 1.00pm.
Come along and meet our friendly seedling growers, pick up a few seedlings and hear more about the community garden.
