OSHA Training Center Offers New Public Sector Safety & Health Certificate Program
  

The OSHA Training Center is now offering a new occupational safety and health certificate training program for public sector employees. Public Sector Safety and Health Fundamentals was recently launched by the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration to promote occupational safety and health training for state and local government employees, including workers not covered by Federal OSHA. Citing the significantly higher workplace injury rate among workers in state and local governments, the OSHA Training Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District regards this new training program for public sector employees as an important step forward in its mission to prevent work-related injuries, illnesses and fatalities.

OSHA Training Center Co-hosts 2014 Pacific Coast Safety Fest in San Francisco
 
2013 Pacific Coast Safety FestThe OSHA Training Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is pleased to announce that the Pacific Coast Safety Fest, a three day conference featuring a variety of occupational safety and health training courses provided free of charge by highly experienced instructors, will be presented from February 25-27, 2014, in San Francisco, California. Co-hosted by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration and the U.S. General Services Administration, the conference is open to managers, employees, educators, students, businesses required to follow OSHA standards, and anyone who desires to improve their organization's safety performance.
