The Wichita Parks Foundation is hosting the inaugural Independence Day Block Party in Downtown! The community block party will be a day long event from 1:00 - 10:30pm and will have food venders, family activities, concerts, fireworks and much more! A 1000 ft long slip and slide will be laid out on Maple Street between the Lewis Street Bridge and Sycamore during the Independence Day Block Party. Purchase a wristband today to join in on the cool summer fun that is happening Downtown.

The Final Friday art crawl happens on the last Friday of each month. Art galleries, museums and shops around Wichita stay open late and welcome visitors. Recognizing that Downtown is the artistic and cultural center for the region, the Q-Line trolly transports art lovers throughout venues in Downtown. "Weird Al" Yankovic has been making people laugh for decades with his Grammy award winning comedy albums. Catch the hilarious comedian live in Downtown at the Orpheum Theatre where he will be performing his newest hits!

Every Saturday morning in Downtown Wichita the Farm and Art Market Plaza in Old Town transforms in to a farmers' market. The market offers local fresh produce, meats, jams, breads, jewelry and much more along with cooking demos and live music.

MOVE 2040 is the WAMPO's region's long range plan the identifies regional transportation goals and performance measures over the next 25 years.
