LIFE HAPPENS HERE!
Wichita's hub for arts and entertainment is Downtown.
Final Friday, April 24

ArtDOG is a 24-hour charitable giving campaign designed to support nonprofits related to the arts. Donations are made on the new ICTArtDOG.org website. Last year, the community raised a collective $548,372 for 38 local arts organizations in one day. ArtDOG will again be on Final Friday and many galleries are having ArtDOG related activities.

April 25

You've heard the story and seen the movie, now experience the rags-to-riches fairytale, Cinderella, set to Prokofiev's gorgeous music and combined with sly humor and inventive choreography at Century II Concert Hall.
April 25

Bull riding fans will get the opportunity to experience the toughest sport on dirt when the Professional Bull Riders BlueDEF Velocity Tour comes to Downtown.

Some of the best up and coming bull riders in the world will be under roof at INTRUST Bank Arena.

April 25

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Midwest Winefest in Downtown at Century II. The Grand Tasting event will feature samples of more than 350 wines from around the world and food samples from local restaurants.
April 26

F5 and the Commerce Street Art District Association is hosting a street party and picnic along South Commerce Street in Downtown Wichita. There will be venders, food trucks, DJ's, art exhibitions and much more.
May 1

The arts not only provide cultural benefits, but improve communities socially, educationally, and economically. On the heels of the recent Fuel the Fire Speaker Series, the WDDC is happy to partner with the Arts Council and City of Wichita to continue the community conversations at an Arts Council Breakfast Program "Innovation and Creativity Through the Arts," on May 1 at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.

Parking Changes

Parking Changes in Old Town Square

Effective immediately, parking spaces along Second Street between Washington and Santa Fe and in Old Town Square north of Second Street are restricted to two-hour parking between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays. The change was requested by the restaurants and stores in Old Town Square because cars parked all day made parking inconvenient for their customers. Ample free parking is available all day in the parking garage west of Old Town Square north of Second Street. The City has recently completed a number of improvements to the parking garage to make it more attractive for users, including installing a pigeon mitigation system. For information, contact Scott Knebel, Downtown Revitalization Manager, at (316) 268-4456 or sknebel@wichita.gov.
