LIFE HAPPENS HERE!
Wichita's hub for arts and entertainment is Downtown.
Friday, Oct. 31

As the name implies, Final Friday happens the last Friday of each month. Art galleries, museums, restaurants and retail shops around Wichita stay open late and welcome visitors. Hours vary between galleries. All venues are free and open to the public and several galleries incorporate artist demonstrations and/or live music. Not only does this event give guests the opportunity to view creative art space, it also is an excellent time to purchase one-of-a-kind artwork directly from artists - perfect for holiday gifts!
Saturday, Nov. 1

Head to INTRUST Bank Arena this Saturday evening to see the Wichita Thunder take on the Missouri Mavericks! The Wichita Thunder is now part of the ECHL Network. Tickets range from $14-$34 with discounts for Seniors, Military and Youth. The puck drops at 7:05pm.

Oct. 31 & Nov. 1

"Halloween 13" is a hysterical spoof on the classic scary movies that made the likes of Jason and Mike Myers the most feared villains in the history of film. Complete with a camp setting, mysterious counselors, and plenty of hilarious chase scenes!
Friday, Oct. 31

Enjoy a live DJ, drink specials and enter the costume contest all for just a $5 cover after 9pm in Old Town Square at Oeno Wine Bar!

Oeno Wine Bar offers a wide array of international renowned wines and world craft beers that pair well with its thoughtfully creative cuisine.

AROUND DOWNTOWN

The City of Wichita would like your input! In the 1990s, a change to the City Code established one-hour and two-hour free parking along Douglas Avenue from the Arkansas River to the elevated rail corridor as well as in areas one block to the north and south of Douglas in this same area. While the parking meters have been removed, many of the meter poles remain. What is your idea for a creative way to repurpose these poles to improve the appearance of the streets and sidewalks in this area of Downtown?

The holiday season is a special time of year, a time for giving thanks and giving back to those who are important to us. The Hyatt Regency Wichita is extending their special Friends and Family rate of $69 November 21 - January 7th to you and your family. This offer is not valid New Year's Eve. For reservations please call or email Christine Davis at christine.davis@hyatt.com or 316-613-4503 and mention the special Friends and Family Rate for the Holidays.

Downtown Wichita is full of cool office space! Help us prove it during the Wichita Business Journal's inaugural Wichita's Coolest Offices contest. The entry deadline is Nov. 5. All you have to do is submit a two sentence summary of why your office is cool and attach up to five photos, then email them to ICTBizJournal@gmail.com.
