About James Chung

James Chung is President of Reach Advisors, a strategy, research and predictive analytics firm. Clients include some of the North America's most innovative organizations involved in community development, large-scale real estate development, tourism, cultural institutions, and healthcare, among other categories.

 

Prior to launching Reach Advisors, James founded a targeted media and research firm that he eventually sold to a Fortune 200 company. Before that, he worked at the nation's largest ad agency helping shepherd the planning around the future of media and consumer analytics for one of the world's largest brands.

 

James' work is featured regularly as a keynote presenter at the conferences for the industries he serves, and also serves as a writer, analyst or recurring source for media organizations ranging from The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, TIME, NPR, among many other media organizations across the world.

 

James is also the Chairman of The Relevance Company, a Brooklyn-based cultural insights and strategy firm.

 

James earned his bachelors and MBA degrees from Harvard University. Before and after earning his MBA degree, he worked for multiple Knight-Ridder newspapers including the Wichita Eagle. Prior to that, his first job was working in the Wichita office of Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole. James is a proud product of Wichita Collegiate School and USD 259, and now lives in northern New York and Boston with his wife and two children.
