Fisch Haus is a multi-disciplinary art facility, located in Wichita's Commerce St. Art District, currently accommodating five full-time local artists as well as a steady stream of artists, actors and musicians, both regional and international. Fisch Haus is a Final Friday favorite and offers free public entry for a multitude of events and art shows. In early June they were awarded a grant from the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission (KCAIC), to build an ADA-compliant restroom and entry in the gallery space. In Spring 2014 the KCAIC and generous supporters funded a wheelchair lift. Fisch Haus is continuing to pursue ADA-compliancy by initiating a large-scale fundraising campaign in order to match the funds already given so that they can provide accessible facilities for all visitors to the gallery.
