2014 DOWNTOWN CLEAN UP

Thank you for signing up for the 2014 Downtown Clean Up this Saturday, April 12th! This event is a great opportunity for our community to come together and take pride in our Downtown district. Below you will find more information on how Downtown Clean Up will progress. Check-in will allow for staff to go over individual assignments with volunteers, however, if you have any additional questions before then, feel free to call the office at 316.264.6005. In the event of inclement weather, you will be notified via email. We will also relay this message on our Facebook and Twitter accounts. We appreciate your willingness to help and look forward to seeing you on Saturday morning!

WHAT TO WEAR

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes you do not mind getting dirty. If you wish to bring gloves, please do so.

SCHEDULE

9:00-9:30am

Arrive at the WDDC Design & Innovation Center (505 E. Douglas Wichita, KS 67202). Volunteers need to sign a waiver, then meet with WDDC staff to receive Clean Up project instructions. Please be prepared to tell staff what task you RSVPd for. Volunteers under the age of 18 are required to have a parental guardian. Donuts will be provided for volunteers.

9:30-11:30am

Volunteers work on Clean Up projects. Supplies will be provided by City of Wichita.

11:45-12:00pm

Volunteers collect supplies (shovels, rakes, vests, etc. received from the City) and head towards Jettys/Walkers Bar (220 S Commerce, just 200 steps northeast of INTRUST Bank Arena) for lunch and to return supplies.

12:00pm

Lunch provided for volunteers courtesy of Jettys/Walkers Bar.
