25th Annual Putnam County Spelling BeeWalk to end Alzheimer'sAdmiral Windwagon, Vampire Hunter

All of Putnam Country is in attendance for the Silver Anniversary of their beloved Spelling Bee. The question is, who will take home the grand prize? The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Registration is free but participants are asked to fundraise. The walk begins at 10am at WaterWalk with registration beginning at 8am. Learn More

Visit Mosley Street Melodrama for the opening weekend of Admiral Windwagon, Vampire Hunter followed by "Halloween Spooktacular." Doors open at 6, dinner is served 6:15-7 and the show begins at 7:50. Dinner is provided by PIG IN PIG OUT BARBEQUE and tickets start at $17.

The Eaton Place continues to flourish by securing two new businesses, Make Out Loud and Better Than Cheesecake this week. In addition to the existing residential, three new live-work spaces are being built as well.
 
Make Out Loud (108 S. Emporia St) is a specialty printing business which opened Monday of this week. At Make Out Loud customers will have the ability to transfer artwork and photographs to shirts, cups, bags and more.
 
Better Than Cheesecake (106 S. Emporia St.) will open next door to Make Out Loud in October. Better Than Cheesecake is a specialized store focusing on fine European lingerie.
