Keeper of the Plains

The Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the prestigious Keeper of the Plains Award that is presented annually to honor an outstanding architectural achievement. The award committee considers aesthetic quality, degree of improvement, visibility, and maintenance when determining a winner. Ambitious WSU students Andy Kim and Minh Ho are opening a new men's streetwear boutique in Downtown Wichita, Mathematics. The goal of the shop is to provide a hip, urban feel with styles that Wichitans normally search for online. Experience this new style store soon, as they plan on being open in mid October

Recently announced, Smoothie King will be opening up their fourth location at the former Rock Island Depot (shown above left) right next to Union Station (shown above right). Neil Bhakta, Smoothie King partner, also plans to open a new restaurant and venue space in the former depot.
