As the name implies, Final Friday happens the last Friday of each month. Art galleries, museums, restaurants and retails shops around Wichita stay open late and welcome visitors. Recognizing that Downtown is the artistic and cultural center for the region, the Q-Line trolley service transports are lovers to the concentration of venues in Downtown. The ride is free and allows attendees to park once and visit several galleries. Learn More

Make sure to checkout The Corridor at the Ffarquhar
This Final Friday visit the newest place to display local artists' work at the grand opening of The Corridor at Ffarquhar. The corridor includes not only space for Final Friday exhibits, but also the Non Toxic Beauty Shop, and a future office space they plan to rent. The corridor will be open Final Friday from 6-8 p.m. See news article

This Saturday will be the 11th Annual Iron Chef Competition at the OTFM. Four of Wichita's top chefs will be using a "secret ingredient" and products from the market as they accept this culinary challenge. Their creations will be rated by a panel of esteemed judges.

Discover Downtown's free shuttle service, the Q-Line, while learning fun arts, culture and historical facts about Wichita at the same time! Participants will be randomly put into teams of three and will have an hr to complete the tasks. Winning teams will enjoy free pizza & wings, courtesy of Fat Tony's.

Get your giggle on! Labor Day Laughter at the Orpheum featuring Tommy Davidson promises to be an evening of laughter. The show will also feature Vince Acevedo and Jovan's Bibb. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Mayor Carl Brewer's work with at-risk youth through Episcopal Social Services.

Recently announced, seven long-time advertising professionals, have created a new "creative collaborative." The Fresh Horses consists of seven individuals with separate businesses and expertise coming together to offer more to their customers. Clients will have services including video, web, branding, and media buying available. The new collaborative studio will be at The Stables at 322 S. Mosley. Learn More

Gallery XII has been leasing art works to local Wichita businesses since 1985. Gallery XII leases out original artwork ranging from paintings, prints, drawings, pastels and photography. The leased artwork is contracted a year and can be renewed. A minimum of five artworks must be leased, each priced at $7 per month. Gallery XII is responsible for maintenance of the artwork and will replace the artwork every 6 months. For more information visit the gallery or their website. Learn More
