Kids and adults of all ages have loved to mimic the hit Disney movie, Marry Poppins. Lucky for Wichita, Music Theatre of Wichita has been granted the right to be one of the first theatres in the country to develop it's own production of the all-family classic. Brickyard Inc. is excited to announce it's first annual Brush Bash, a live-painting event and silent auction on Sunday, September 8th. Artists of all backgrounds, mediums, and styles are encouraged to apply by Wednesday, August 13th. One grand-prize winning artist will receive $1,000 award from PBR to paint a mural in the Brickyard this fall. Artwork will be sold at the Brush Bash live-painting event through silent auction. Half of the money raised will go to the artist and the other half will go to a charitable organization, which has yet to be named. Learn More

DOWNTOWN PUBLIC INPUT MEETING

The City of Wichita is hosting two public meetings at Century II (225 W. Douglas) to gather input about street closures connected to walks, runs and marathons. During the meeting, City officials will share ideas and suggestions they have received from promoters and event organizers to lessen the impact on surrounded neighborhoods and business. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions. Learn More
