Blu is a 7yr old purebred Weimaraner who is an absolute pleasure to be with. He loves long walks and belly rubs. He thinks cats are annoying and would love a home with older children or adults. He gets along well with other dogs. He is struggling in the shelter environment, so it is important we find this handsome guy a home as soon as we can.

Huck is a five-year-old Lab Mix. He is an amazingly loving and loyal companion who always does all he can to please his person. While he may have a serious look about him, he is a goofy and playful guy, always up for an adventure. Sit down on the floor and this over-sized lap dog will plop right down on top of you. House broken and trained in basic obedience, Huck has spent too many days in the shelter. He desperately wants and needs a home and companion to call his very own. This gorgeous, 2 year old girl came to us as a stray. Pretty came in with a skin infection and scabs all over her body. Now, Pretty sits in a shelter filled with dogs just like her who are desperate for a new, loving home. Pretty is very sweet, socializes, attention from people, and loves to play. She can be a bit too playful for younger kids, so she is recommended for a home with teens and up. Pretty displayed no issues with people near her food, and is just an all around sweet girl. She even knows some basic commands including "sit" and "down". She would probably prefer to be the only dog in the home, but can be social with other dogs after correct introductions. We almost forgot to mention, Pretty is short, and unique looking and has silly ears, so yeah, there's that too! Come meet this silly eared girl today! 3320 Beltagh Ave, Wantagh, NY 11793 (516) 785-5220

Buck is a handsome male Pit Mix who is about 2 years old. He is an extra large dog with a happy, loving personality and a heart to match his body. Buck loves to play, especially with squeaky toys. Buck gets along with other dogs, but prefers them not to try to steal his toys. Buck may be big in size, but he is a dream to walk and has eyes that just look deep into your soul. Islip Animal Shelter/Live Love Bark 210 S. Denver Ave Bay Shore, New York 11706 (631) 224-5660

Mona is a sweet 5-year-old girl who loves playing with her toys! She often has an awesome time in the play yard and the adoption office where she sits with her human buddies here at the sanctuary. Come meet this beautiful girl and see if she could be your new best friend. She would love to be a part of an active family who enjoys life as much as she does but would prefer a home without cats.
