Adoption Corner!
Hi, I'm a big girl. My name is Sammi and I'm 6. I was used to have babies and then thrown away. I like it quiet because everything scares me..but I fall in love fast. When I'm happy I play hard. I'm a Cane Corso afterall. My friends at the shelter said they will only let me go to the best people because I am the best dog.

Meet Richie! He enjoys long, leisurely walks and walks wonderfully on a leash. He knows several commands including sit, down and shake and loves to play fetch. Richie is very loyal - when he loves you, it's forever- his eyes and his heart will follow you everywhere! Richie would do best in a calm home environment where he can feel secure in giving 100% of his loyalty. Richie does get along with other dogs but not cats. He is about 7 years old.

Charlie was recently featured in a story on BarkPost:
50 lb Charlie is a lovebug & it doesn't take him long to love you, roll over for belly rubs & give lots & lots of kisses! He loves his toys & while he gets along with dogs, he would prefer to be your only pet. Charlie is housetrained, knows "sit" & "place". He would be best in a home with kids 13+. He really is a special dog, he is the mushiest dog we have in our rescue, he just loves to love & has a heart of gold.

Meet Elijah! This incredible boy has been renting a room at the Brookhaven Animal Shelter for over 3 years now. He's looking to move out into a more permanent living situation. He's an active single guy who enjoys running, and playing with toys but is also content with sitting with you on the couch and watching a movie or reading. His favorite past time is getting his back scratched and will keep you warm during the cold winter nights by snuggling up really close to you. If this is your dream man, come meet him at:
