The Town Of Hempstead Animal Shelter Free Fostering Seminar
Thursday, April 28, 2016
6pm - 8:30pm
Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter
3320 Beltagh Ave
Wantagh, NY 11793

The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh is seeking foster volunteers to help animals that are orphaned, need socialization, or are having trouble adapting to the stressful surroundings of kennel life.  Whether it is a kitten who needs to be bottle fed, or an adult dog or cat who needs extra TLC to learn to love and trust again, foster volunteers help make our homeless animals more adoptable. The purpose of the fostering is to provide a home environment, as well as the opportunity to evaluate the animal's behavior around other dogs, cats, and children. The shelter provides all food and medical care while the animals are in foster care. If you are interested in learning more about this life-saving program, there will be a free seminar on The Little One Fostering Program on:
Thursday, April 28, 2016 @ The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter @ 6:30pm
You will also meet foster volunteers and animals in foster care. The free seminar will run approximately 90 minutes. Please register by calling 516-785-5220 ext. 4635, email [email protected] and indicate how many seats you would like.  Foster volunteers must be at least 21 years of age to foster.

Meet Noah, the purrfect male cat for the right family. Twice the forever families that were thought to be perfect for Noah turned out to be less than perfect. That's it. The third time will be the charm! Noah is a sweet soul and likes to lounge in the sun. He gets along well with other cats and will just purr all day. He's not much of a lap cat but he will sit near you and snuggle. Noah is about 5 1/2 years old.
