Adoption Corner!

Macho is a three year old lamb in lion's clothing. All this happy and loving dog wants is to be with you and preferably in your lap. Macho's past was not a happy one and he ended up in a crowded municipal shelter. This big mush and volunteer favorite is good on a leash, calm and really asks very little. All he wants is a loving forever family of his own. Macho must be an only pet. No young children only due to his size! Please call us at 516-719-0808 and be prepared to fall in love!
Forgotten Friends of Long Island Animal Rescue
4 East Village Green
Levittown, NY 11756 -  -  516) 719-0808
Precious Nugget, #9762 is a petite, 1 year old orange & white DSH. She is unusual as only 2% are females. She also tested FeLv+ initially, but recently came up negative with a more complex testing. Found abandoned in August in a fast food lot, she has been with us ever since and is asymptomatic & doing fine. She has been spayed, is UTD on vax and is very playful. She is in an office with a dog and other FeLv+ kitties so she could live in a similar situation or just get all your love. Don't pass her by.

Reina, #8173 is a wonderful companion animal and proves that daily as the front office dog. About 55# and 4+ years, she loves to be near staff whether sitting with them, laying on her bed or sharing her toys. Reina would love to be your special one & only girl; she is not a cat fan, is dog selective and loves adult humans. Reina crates up nicely and knows some basic commands, she needs a refresher course on housebreaking as she is now using wee wee pads (big ones!) and is well controlled on meds for a seizure disorder.

, #3365 a 3 yr old American Pitbull Terrier mix. This striking boy is nearing his 2 yr anniversary with us. He has gone on multiple events and handles the stress well. What is off putting for many is his size; Berger is a big strong boy. He walks well on leash, is obedient to commands but needs a firm, strong handler. He likes kids (not a fan of cats) but is not recommended for small children because of his size. Adopted twice and returned because of his size - Berger has professional training on board for his forever home.
