Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 10am to 4pm at Suffolk Community College Health, Sports, and Education Center 1001 Crooked Hill Road Brentwood, NY 11717 Just south of the LIE Exit 53/ Wicks Road  Come check out thousands of live pet reptiles and amphibians on display & for sale as pets. More than 60 reptile breeders from all over the USA will be displaying! If you like reptiles, or are looking for a scaly new pet, this is the reptilian event for you!

It's time to dress up your pup and come on down to Toomey's Tavern in Amityville for our Howl-o-ween fundraiser! This event will take place on Saturday, October 17th (rain date Sunday, October 18th) from 3 to 7pm. This event includes a doggie costume contest that will be judged by a special panel of judges. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners take home a prize! There will also be merchandise for sale, basket raffle and 50/50 raffle tickets for purchase, and live music! Toomey's will be offering half price apps and $2.00 pumpkin beer! $10.00 entry donation require for anyone 18 and older. Get one free raffle ticket with every entry donation! An additional $10 donation will be asked for those entering their dogs in the costume contest (per dog.) Please ensure all dogs are kept on leash. NO retractable leashes. Come meet just a few from our hundreds of adoptable dogs and cats.. All animals are dewormed, vaccinated age appropriate, altered, and microchipped; dogs are HW tested and cats FIV / Fe Lv tested. Autumn is here; it's a great time to be out walking your new furry K9 friend or letting them enjoy the backyard and cooler sunny skies. Let a formerly homeless kitty blossom into your new indoor furball inside safely watching bird, squirrels and falling leaves from a window seat. Say "hi" to some of our great homeless pets, dedicated volunteers and staff.
Please bring landlord contact and veterinary info where applicable, and contact info for @ least 2 unrelated references who can be reached. Approved applicants need photo ID confirming address. Our dog adoption fees are $85, cats are $75. Sorry, no credit cards.

All Long Island pet owners are eligible; no appointment necessary, but all pets must be at least 4 months old. Dogs must be leashed, and cats need to be in carriers. Dogs must be dog & people-friendly. (Please bring paper certificate proof of a recent rabies shot, if you are planning on asking for a 3 year, rather than 1 year rabies vaccine certificate for your dog or cat. A rabies tag does not constitute proof.) This rabies clinic is made possible because of grant assistance from Pet Peeves, Inc.- the voice of Long Island Pets.  Rhonda is a big beautiful girl who is about 5 years old. She is a sweet girl who loves people and gets along with cats. She'd do best with a submissive dog if any at all. She can be a strong girl, weighing in at 81 pounds, but though she is strong, she's a gentle giant and is usually easy going and just wants to be right by your side.  Faith is a sweet female Pit mix, who's about 2 years old. She came from a backyard where she was neglected. We think she was probably going to be used for breeding, but put up a fight. She does have scarring &scrapes on her. She loves people, is super affectionate and is always looking for cuddles, hugs and kisses. Come give this sweet girl a chance at a real life.
